About
"Building Leaders through Sports"
KC Dream Basketball & Academic Club is one of the country's top independent girl's programs. A Non-For-Profit 501-C3 based in the Kansas City area, our goals are to help young scholar-athletes pursue their basketball goals of playing at the colligate level. We currently offer competitive travel and competitive local girl's teams for grades 6th - 8th.
With every athlete that plays for us, there comes a high level of expectations and commitment not only on the court but in the classroom. We practice two days per week and also require mandatory skill development offered two or three days per week. Our program's top priority is the development of our athletes. Our program has a very high success rate of putting our girls in a position to receive college scholarships, so we do our absolute best to give them the resources needed to develop.
All of our athletes must meet and maintain certain academic requirements while being a part of the program. These requirements help build expectations for the future if our athletes chose to pursue a college career. We try and help our athletes maintain requirements by offering program peer and adult tutoring when needed.

If you are looking for a program to develop, compete, and grow we invite you to come to be a part of KC Dream. Hope to see you soon.
Skill Development Training
Skill development is the process of identifying your skill gaps and developing and honing these skills. It is important because your skills determine your ability to execute your plans with success.

Here at KC Dream, we understand the importance of this particular resource when it comes to building our athlete's skills and confidence. Skill Development will continue to be a major part of our program and why it produces high-caliber athletes. Successful skill development and growth are acquired through intentional focus and repetition such as shooting, ball handling, offensive, and defensive skills. A serious player may work on these about 2-5 hours per day depending on ability, age, and specific goals. Skill improvement is linked to the investment of time. Too often players are so focused on “advanced” skills, and they haven’t yet mastered the critical fundamentals to build from. Here at Dream, we focus on fundamentals first and then move players to more advanced skills after those are mastered.
Our Skills Academy is required of all our players at a low monthly cost. The academy runs a couple times a week. Group and individual workouts are offered. Academy skill sessions focus on all aspects of the game such as ball-handling, shooting, passing, finishing, footwork, post-work, and much more.
