Coach Joel Webb is a Kansas City, KS native that grew up in Wyandotte County and attended Schlagle High School where he would compete in basketball and football. After high school he'd sign to play D1 basketball and Southeast Missouri State University.      Coach would leave SEMO at the semester with some coaching changes. He'd go on to play at Independence Community College, and then Penn Valley Community College before finishing his college career at Bellevue University.  His two years at Bellevue he would become 2 time All-American and runner-up for national player of the year. Leading the team to a combined record of 56-10 record, and a 1st ever #1 ranking in program history. 

 

 After college, he would go on to have a very successful career internationally.  Playing in places like Chile, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Canada, Saudi Arabia.  During his tenor overseas he would go on to lead numerous teams in scoring, and assist as well as break scoring records.  

 

After pro basketball, Joel would return to the states to start a basketball academy, which then turn into youth teams. He built KC Dream in 2012 and it has continued to be one of the top independent programs in the country. Coach is about as passionate as they come and his ability to develop today's youth is second to none.  These characteristics and others make him the perfect person to lead.

Coach Joel is a father of 4.  His daughter Aaniya is s freshman at St. Bonaventure University, where she plays basketball.  His oldest son Javin is a freshman at West, and participates in basketball.  Jesiah is in the 6th grade and participates in football.  Youngest son Aiden is in the 4th grade and plays football and basketball.
